Museum calf lovers will appreciate Yearn’s Heritage Museum Shoes, a new collection that the upcoming Chinese Shoemaker recently added to their offering. There are some very tasteful models in this new collection, but the selection is heavily skewed towards oxfords, with one lonely penny loafer and two monk strap models. Let’s hope that this is only the beginning!
Like with all of Yearn’s shoes, the new Heritage Museum collection remains classic and consistent. Yearn never strays far from timeless ideas and models. You are hard pressed to find an avant garde offering from their brand and this Musuem collection is no different. The boldest offering is the “Cherry Musuem” oxford brogue. Not due to any fancy design, simply because it is the brightest of them all.
As the Italian mottled leather becomes ever-more popular I can only imagine that Yearn’s Heritage Museum Shoes will grow in models offered. Personally speaking,I would love to see some boot styles represented: A nice chukka and even a balmoral boot maybe? Surely for the Autumn season that will come. What would you like to see?
For Yearn’s Heritage Museum Shoes you can choose to have them made as a standard RTW shoe or as an Artisanal Line offering that provides extra refinement in your shoe’s finishing features. This includes: Hand-Stitched outsoles, deep fudging om the welt, a fiddleback waist, and a tighter piched heel.
The prices for this new collection start at $560 and go up to $860 for an Artisinal Line finish, which is essentially a fully handmade shoe with detailing to match. Not a bad offer for premium footwear!
