Adidas Samba OG Rhinestones ‘Crystal White’ Release Date IH9055

In October, a black-based Adidas Samba completely covered on rhinestones surfaced with an anticipated arrival during the holiday season. But that pair isn’t the only upcoming Three Stripes release that’s getting the ritzy makeover. 

Joining the rhinestone selection is a white-based “Crystal White/Crystal White/Silver Metallic” Adidas Samba OG colorway which is also set for a late-December launch. Unlike the black pair, which covered every panel of the shoe’s upper in the shiny gems, the white option is a bit more restrained. 

The shoe’s base is flooded in stones, but its t-toe, stripes, heel and eyestay overlays use the Samba’s more traditional suede and leather materials. These mixed materials add some balance to the otherwise ostentatious look, but for those looking to max out their crystal coverage, the black style is expected to arrive around the same time.

Energy around the Samba, which was awarded Shoe of the Year at the 2023 FN Achievement Awards, has admittedly cooled off in recent years. But as even slimmer-soled shoes take over the trend cycle, the Samba has been able to carve out a comfortable spot as a classic sneaker staple akin to Adidas’ Stan Smith and Superstar models. 

Data from resale platform StockX’s 2025 Big Facts report shows that the Samba is still very much in favor on the secondary market. The findings, issued in November, show that more than 700 different styles of the Samba had been traded on the marketplace thus far in ’25. And a new variation of the shoe, the women’s-exclusive Samba Jane, is Adidas’ top-selling new sneaker model this year.

The rhinestone-covered Adidas Samba OG Crystal White (style code IH9055) is confirmed to release Dec. 24 in select markets including Japan. A specific stateside release date has not yet been confirmed. Retail pricing is set at $110.
