Clot Adidas Anthony Edwards 1 Low Release Date

Anthony Edwards is getting his first sneaker collaboration, and it’s quite literally flames.

Edison Chen took to Instagram Monday to reveal the Clot x Adidas Anthony Edwards 1 a few days after he teased the insole of the sneaker. Blue flames take over the honeycomb, arrow-shaped TPU overlay for a new graphic treatment. Black then forms the upper’s mesh regions, while the midsole’s heel and the outsole are rendered in blue. The same shade is also used for the branding, which includes mismatched logos for Edwards and Clot on the tongue pull.

Known initially as the AE 1, Edwards’ signature sneaker debut is nearly two years into its lifespan. Its dynamic TPU overlay is typically rendered in solid colors, but select colorways have mixed it up with marbling, iridescence and sparkles. None have been as detailed Clot’s, however, so the upgrade is fitting for the shoe’s first collaboration.

The long-awaited Anthony Edwards 2 isn’t far away, as the model is expected to launch in October while incorporating more complex colorblocking with blue, green, white and black. Little is known about the shoe’s specs yet, but what’s plain to see is a new TPU overlay that takes a shape similar to horns.

Since Chen and his Hong Kong-based boutique departed Nike for Adidas in 2023, Clot has been a prolific collaborator. Its projects have been more oriented toward lifestyle, as the Anthony Edwards 1 Low marks the first foray into performance.

The Clot x Adidas Anthony Edwards 1 hasn’t been confirmed with a release date, but given the official reveal, as well as the imminence of Edward’s second shoe, it’s likely on the way soon. Footwear News will keep you abreast of any updates.
