The new Blkbrd suede loafers with a soft sole are now available and ready for Summer prep! Here we take a look at their two new models: The Orlie and The Lorenzo. One style Venetian, and the other with a Belgian cut vamp. Both are comfortable and ready for purchase. The best yet? Both are under $200! Let’s discover more.
Price
This will be the main feature for many readers with regard to these Blkbrd suede loafers. Their prices are extremely competitive. The apron stitched Venetian style is a whopping $137, lower than any of its competitors in the industry. The Belgian version is only $172. Both are incredibly priced, to be honest. One might think that they are cutting corners on materials, but both suede offerings are from famous Italian tanniers: Zonta and Opera. It is a heck of a value.
Fit
They only offer whole sizes, so I went with an EU40. An EU40 is usually what I go for when going sockless, which is how I will wear these. They were a nice, snug fit, the way that I had imagined them. I believe after I break them in, I will have room for a thin sock, should I please. I hate loose loafers, so it will be hard for me to tell you to size up if you are a half-size, like I am. I always size down, especially when unlined, as they will inevitably stretch.

Removable Insole
This will be another key feature of the Blkbrd suede loafers. There are a lot of guys who wear orthotics and have a hard time finding loafers that are good-looking and that will accommodate those orthotics. Well, here you are, fellas: Good looking suede loafers that can allow you to insert your custom insoles! And for those that do not need it, well, you get an extra cushioned loafer that is quite comfortable.
Overall
These new Blkbrd suede loafers with soft soles offer great value, are comfortable, and fit well. My only gripe is the shape of the last. They are a little blunt for my personal liking. Most of you know that I prefer almond-shaped lasts, but that won’t stop me from wearing them!
