TLB Sneakers: New Collection – The Shoe Snob

The new TLB Sneakers are now in and offering the dress shoe consumer something different than the rest! What is that you might ask? Let’s break it down.

What makes TLB Sneakers different?

What is impressive about TLB is that they are one of the few shoemakers that make every single shoe in-house. They outsource none of their products. And that is rare in today’s world. Especially when it comes to sneakers, which are often made in a separate factory that specializes in that type of shoe. That means that if you rely on TLB products to be at the top level, you can rest assured that they treat their sneakers the same way they do the welted shoes.

Antique Leathers

Most sneaker offerings are usually in suede or plain calfskin colors, i.e., white, black, grey, etc. Rarely outside of the Italian brands do you get crust-like antique finishing for a patinated look. TLB’s more ‘Premium’ sneakers offer this, with 4 colorways. I can see the Castana colorway–the featured image above–being a big hit for them!

Unique Suedes and Tonal Soles

The new TLB Sneakers come in an array of suede options, some of which are quite unique and not easily found elsewhere. The most notable are the Olive suede, the ‘Street’ suede (which is like a soft teal), and the ‘Space’ suede (which is a unique soft blue). Furthermore, they have a grey sole to match the grey suede, as well as the more common ‘gum’ sole to match the lighter brown colors. But it is not often you see a grey sole on this type of sneaker. That colorway is quite intriguing!

The new TLB Sneakers have now completed the offering that the Spanish shoemakers offer. From two lines of welted footwear, several styles of blake-stitched shoes, to a new sneaker collection, there is very little now that TLB does not offer. It is impressive, and I hope to see them continue to expand their capabilities as a brand and a factory production. Well done to them!
