Sorel Teams Up With Barbour on Three Shoes, Jacket

Sorel and Barbour are joining forces for the first time for a new collaboration.

At the core of the new collection are three footwear styles – the Callsign Horizon Low GTX sneaker, the Daystorm Horizon GTX boot, and the Caribou Horizon GTX boot. Sorel noted that all three styles feature Gore-Tex waterproof fabric and Vibram traction outsoles.

Completing the capsule is a reimagined take on the signature Barbour Transport Jacket. Called the Sorel x Barbour Transport Down Wax Puffer, the style features an 80/20 down fill, corduroy collar and co-branded detailing, and includes Barbour’s famous waxed cotton material.

Cory Long, global general manager of Sorel, said in a statement that the collaboration is a “meeting of two heritage houses of defiance, both trusted to perform and revered for their cultural impact.”

“Together, we’ve created a collection that doesn’t compromise: It’s built for resilience, crafted for beauty, and designed for bold steps,” Long noted.

Nicholas Drury, head of footwear at Barbour, added that the union of the two companies on this project is a “true convergence of legacies.”

“The collection is really designed for those who embrace the elements with confidence but still want to prioritize style while doing so,” Drury said.

To mark the launch of the collection, the duo has created a new campaign dubbed “A Journey Through the Elements.” Told through three weather-driven worlds – golden warmth, storm-lashed rains and snowbound silence – the story reflects this partnership’s promise: elegance, assurance and bold steps in any condition, Sorel noted.

This debut comes on the heels of Sorel’s “Born Of The Arctic” stunt in NYC in September. The activation featured a nearly seven-foot-tall glacial inspired sculptures on the sidewalks of Williamsburg, the Lower East Side, Meatpacking, and Midtown during New York Fashion Week.

It also follows collaborations with Supreme and Proenza Schouler, and ushers in new partnerships with Aries, Neighborhood, and more slated through the end of the year.

The Sorel x Barbour collection, which retails between $250 and $950, is now available globally in-store and online at Barbour.com and Sorel.com.
