In recent years, Nike, Inc. has experimented with adding platform and otherwise stacked soles to its classic sneakers like the Air Force 1 and Air Jordan 1, but a new women’s-exclusive rendition of the latter pushes the layered look even further.
The upcoming Air Jordan 1 Triple Stack is one of the more experimental takes on the concept yet. Using the low-top variation of Michael Jordan’s debut signature sneaker as its base, the model’s rubber midsole and outsole have been tripled, resulting in a nearly three-inch underfoot setup. The resulting look gives a near-optical illusion effect and will also serve a functional purpose for those seeking to add a few inches to their stature.
With previews in two colorways, Team Red/Pale Ivory/Sanded Gold and a UNC-like Psychic Blue/Psychic Blue/White/Sail, it’s likely that several more looks will join the two pairs pictured here.

Aside from their stacked soles, the Air Jordan 1 Triple Stack features a number of key differences compared to a standard Air Jordan 1 Low. The shoe’s tongue branding replaces its traditional Jumpman logo with a Nike Air Swoosh that has a hand-drawn appearance, a corduroy tongue in place of the traditional nylon tongue and an outsole which mixes in portions of herringbone traction with the Air Jordan 1’s usual pivot-point setup.
The timing of the Air Jordan 1 Triple Stack’s arrival is somewhat unexpected, as recent trends have been predominantly on the opposite spectrum of sole height. Low-profile, barely there outsoles are still a trending look, with both designer and sportswear brands continuing to offer numerous takes on the concept.
According to Romanian outlet Sneaker Market, the women’s-exclusive Air Jordan 1 Triple Stack will arrive during spring 2026, with select colorways designated as special-edition releases. The style code for the Team Red/Pale Ivory/Sanded Gold colorway is HV8288-600, while the Psychic Blue/Psychic Blue/White/Sail look is HV8288-402. Retail pricing has not yet been confirmed.
