Kith recently adopted the famous look of the Nike Air Max 95 “Neon” for a KD 17 made exclusively for friends and family, but another crossover effort is on the way that laymen will actually be able to purchase.
The Nike Air Max 90 “Neon” sees the elder classic model borrow from its younger counterpart. Several shades of gray are used throughout the mesh, suede and TPU upper to go along with a neon green Swoosh. The namesake color rears its head again on the heel’s visible Air Max unit, which sits within a dark gray sole unit, as well as the tongue tag. Continuing the direct crossover, the tongue, laces and lining are rendered in white.
Nike has some history of carrying over a colorway from one Air Max to another, with the Air Max 90 also once taking the Air Max 97’s “Silver Bullet” look as an example. The Air Max 95’s original “Neon” colorway has gotten a nominal amount of play outside of its return with “Big Bubble” proportions last year, as a “Reverse Neon” colorway inverted color applications based on sketches from the design process, and Undefeated riffed on it as one of several variants released late last year.
Those who missed out on the limited Air Max 95 “Neon” release last year will also be relieved to learn the sneaker will come back once again in 2026 with wider stock expected.
A release date hasn’t been confirmed yet for the Nike Air Max 90 “Neon,” but it is listed as “coming soon” on Nike’s Australian website. Pricing is set at $135.
