The Suede Finish – Julia Berolzheimer

Outfit Details: AYR Shirt, La DoubleJ Skirt, Manolo Blahnik Heels, Etro Bag, Sherman Field Necklace

If fall were a texture, mine would be suede. It’s the detail I start reaching for first, before the heavier layers come out, the one that makes what I’m already wearing feel richer by just a few degrees. Whether it’s brushed chocolate, tobacco, or warm chestnut, it offers a softness that sits so well alongside crisp cotton, printed skirts, and the open shapes I still have in rotation right now, helping my closet shift gradually into a new season.

Accessories are where I notice that shift first. A soft suede flat makes a satin dress feel less precious, a belt cinches a shirt for more shape, and a tasseled bag brings a little movement into an otherwise tailored look. The texture feels warm, tactile, and useful from September well into winter, adding that first hint of fall in one subtle move.
