Two Takes on Color – Julia Berolzheimer

Outfit Details: LilyEve Jacket (last seen here, similar here) Donni Shirt & Pants (last seen here), Sherman Field Necklace, Chanel Flats (similar here) & Bag; On the girls: Hello Simone Cardigan & Dress, Tecovas Boots, La Coqueta Flats

My girls have so much fun getting dressed. They know exactly what they want to put on, and the combinations they come up with always surprise me. There’s something sweet about how we’re all drawn to prints, patterns, and bright colors, even if we wear them in completely different ways. Sometimes we’ll land in similar palettes without planning it, and other times I’ll borrow an idea from something they’ve pulled out of their closets.

My favorite part of shopping for them is finding those little connections: pieces that echo a mood or detail from my wardrobe without matching exactly. If I’m into pink or purple at the moment, I’ll naturally gravitate toward a floral with that color running through it. Lately it’s been leopard print and western touches, so I’ve been picking up small accessories that let them join in. It’s become a playful way to share my love of fashion with them, and I hope that as they grow, they’ll always enjoy experimenting with what they wear and discovering their own sense of style.
