The Air Jordan 3 Retro ‘Seoul 2.0’ is a mature take on the OG model from 2018 that’s inspired by the South Korean flag, otherwise known as ‘Taegeukgi’, an ancient symbol that represents harmony and duality of the universe with origins derived from um-yang philosophy.
Honouring the OG assembly, Air Jordan’s 3 Retro ‘Seoul 2.0’ is constructed from a premium leather upper that’s cushioned at the collars with fabrics inspired by traditional Korean garments. The ‘Taegeukgi’ flag is embroidered on the left tongue, whereas ‘Hangul’ embroidery can be found hidden on the reverse; a nod to the Korean alphabet as well as Nike’s AM1 ‘Hangul Day’ from 2022. Underfoot, visible Nike Air Units are chambered within the vintage-aged midsole and provide reactive comfort as well as responsivity, and yes – all of the above comes enveloped in a custom shoebox and paper wrapping. Collectors – this one’s got your name on it.
