Birkenstock is continuing to expand its physical retail footprint in the U.S. with its newest store opening in Malibu, Calif.
Located 23465 Civic Center Way at the Cross Creek Ranch shopping center, the new store offers the German footwear brand’s signature products for men, women and kids, including Birkenstock’s best-selling sandals and clogs, as well as sneakers, shoes, boots and more. Guests can also shop the Birkenstock Care Essentials collection, featuring foot and body care products, including the brand’s new plant-based nail polish line.
Designed for Malibu, the store brings a more distinctive expression of Birkenstock’s retail design language to the space. Signature materials including cork and leather are integrated throughout the interior, “creating a tactile environment that reflects the heritage of Birkenstock while responding to its Malibu setting,” the company noted.
The brand also said that it acquired a sculpture by artist Rogan Gregory, introducing a large-scale sculptural work to the store. An internationally known artist recognized for his abstract sculptures and biomorphic forms, Gregory lives and works in Malibu. His sculpture, “Fertility Form 2025” in gypsum with bronze patina, “creates a natural dialogue” with the material and ergonomic shapes that inform Birkenstock’s design language.

“For decades, Birkenstock has had a strong community of fans in Malibu so bringing a store to life in the area felt very natural,” David Kahan, president of Birkenstock Americas, said in a statement. “But finding the right location mattered. The thoughtful approach to design, landscape and community at Cross Creek Ranch reflects many of the things we value as a brand. It’s the perfect place to bring a distinctive Birkenstock retail experience to life, and we’re excited to open our doors and deepen our connection to the Malibu community.”
The opening of Birkenstock Malibu marks the 24th Birkenstock owned retail location in the United States and comes as the brand celebrated the 50-year milestone of its Boston clog in 2026.

In July, the company noted that it had recent openings in Boulder, Colo., and West Palm Beach, Fla. The company’s new Boulder store is located at the city’s Twenty Ninth Street mall, while Birkenstock’s West Palm Beach shop opened at the mixed-use district CityPlace.
Other Birkenstock owned retail locations in the U.S. include stores in New York City, Brooklyn, Boston, Venice Beach, Miami, Marin County, Austin, Houston, Naperville and Nashville.
In its most recent third quarter earnings issued last month, the company saw net profits of 109.6 million euros, or 60 cents a diluted share, down 15.2 percent from 129.2 million euros, or 69 cents, in the same year-ago three months. Revenue rose 13.3 percent to 719.5 million euros in the period from 635.0 million euros.
