New Balance Abzorb 2000 ‘Liquid Metal Gradient’ Release Date

New Balance’s futuristic Abzorb 2000 lifestyle sneaker continues its chameleon-like adaptations this spring with two new colorways of the line’s “Liquid Metal” variation.

Arriving in April is the New Balance Abzorb 2000 in Silver Metallic/Orb Pink/Cortado (style code U20004H3) and Silver Metallic/Oregano/Pink Sand (style code U20006EI). The new styles follow February’s initial Liquid Metal colorways in black and silver, adding pops of color to the model for the first time.

Not only do the new pairs get colorful, but they bring a new gradient fade look to the Abzorb 2000. The Silver Metallic/Orb Pink/Cortado look is the more reserved of the two, combining jagged silver TPU overlays on a mesh upper that fades from light pink to a darker shade before finishing the look with a brown midsole. 

The collection’s Silver Metallic/Oregano/Pink Sand is the more vibrant of the two, employing a multicolor combination of green, red, orange and purple across the already eye-catching model. While either pair will pair well with spring and summer looks, it’s this multicolor pair that really embodies the warm-weather aesthetic.

New Balance introduced the Abzorb 2000 at retail in June 2025. It was designed by Charlotte Lee, design manager of EMEA energy and speed at New Balance, who told Footwear News the model was inspired by what designers in the early 2000s may have created had they been equipped with today’s tools.

Both of these latest New Balance Abzorb 2000 colorways will be released on April 1 at 12 a.m. ET from newbalance.com and they’ll also be available from select retailers. Pricing is set at $170 each.
