Nike’s ahead-of-its-time Air Foamposite One sneaker is getting a brand-new women’s-exclusive look in the new year, one which could potentially go down as one of the model’s most eye-catching looks to date.
According to @zsneakerheadz and Sneaker Market Romania, Nike will release an Air Foamposite One PRM with a ruby gemstone print in 2027. The Sport Red/Challenge Red/Black colorway is expected to feature a graphic-printed molded polyurethane upper in a repeating ruby print, giving the shoe a bedazzled appearance without the need for any physical adornments.
In-hand images of the new release aren’t yet available, but a speculative mock-up provided by @zsneakerheadz and Sneaker Market Romania offers readers an idea of what to expect when the style arrives in the new year.

Other first-of-their-kind graphic treatments will arrive on the Air Foamposite One for its 30th anniversary in ’27 including a Realtree camouflage pattern, a star-covered design and a pink gradient look. Given the milestone year for the model, it’s likely that even more special-edition styles will be added to the lineup.
First released in 1997, the Air Foamposite One was a signature sneaker belonging to NBA legend Penny Hardaway, but was quickly adopted as a street-style favorite, particularly within the Washington, D.C. metro region. The futuristic tech introduced by the model continues to inform new Nike sneakers including the G.T. Future basketball sneaker and the upcoming First Sight Shadow women’s slip-on.
And while Hardaway’s signature Air Foamposite One is due to receive several new releases, it’s not the only model in the Foamposite family with fresh looks on the way. The shoe’s Swoosh-adorned sibling, the Air Foamposite Pro, will also be released in a host of new styles including an officially licensed NCAA football collection, a “Mummy Duck” colorway tied to the University of Oregon and a first-of-its-kind fully glow-in-the-dark makeup.
The Nike Air Foamposite One PRM Ruby is set to be released during summer ’27 exclusively in women’s sizing with expected availability from Nike’s Snkrs app and select Nike Sportswear retailers. The sneaker’s style code is JF2604-600.
