After Kim Kardashian wore an all-black Nike Air Max 95 in the campaign for the debut NikeSkims collection, another blacked-out women’s colorway of the remastered sneaker is on the way, this time with a detail that’s making its first appearance on the OG Big Bubble version.
Official Nike e-commerce product images have surfaced of a women’s Air Max 95 OG Big Bubble in Black/Metallic Pewter/Anthracite/Smoke Gray. From a glance, the upcoming pair appears to feature a fully black design, but there are a few other dark shades peppered throughout, notably on the tongue and insole branding. The standout feature of this look is its jewel Swoosh logo near the ankle Metallic Pewter, adding a touch of shine to the otherwise stealthy style.
Nike has issued similar all-black jewel Swoosh Air Max 95s in the past, namely a 2023 iteration in Black/Metallic Silver/Anthracite. However, that version of the shoe featured a handful of material variances and most notably did not include the improved OG Big Bubble features.

Amongst all of Nike’s popular retro sneakers, the Air Max 95 running shoe has arguably had the most noteworthy year of them all. To celebrate the sneaker’s 30th anniversary, the Beaverton, Ore.-based company’s Sportswear division began the year by introducing the Nike Air Max 95 OG Big Bubble, a remastered version of the 1995 running shoe. The 2025 iteration features an updated shape and larger Air units than previous retros, bringing the sneaker’s look and feel closer to that of the ’95 original.
“[The Air Max 95] is the best example of a design capturing the feeling of an era,” filmmaker Ben Solomon told Footwear News in May. “It felt like Nike cracked the code when you started seeing it in the world. That is what a sneaker is supposed to look like.”
The Nike Air Max 95 OG Big Bubble Black/Metallic Pewter is set to be released exclusively in women’s sizing this holiday season. Retail pricing is set at $190 and the style code is IH1413-001. Readers can anticipate availability from Nike’s Snkrs app and select Nike Sportswear retailers.
