This Limited-Edition Saucony Collab Is Dressed Up Like a Wingtip Shoe

Dressy sneakers have been a prevailing trend in 2025. Whether it’s a sneaker loafer or a full-on athletic dress shoe hybrid, the concept has been inescapable with nearly every brand angling to get in on the action. One of the latest labels to throw its hat in the ring is Saucony.

The Waltham, Mass.-headquartered athletic footwear company is getting some help from Japanese-meets-Americana brand Engineered Garments. The Engineered Garments x Saucony Shadow Original Wingtip lives up to its name with a tailoring-inspired spin on the retro sneaker. According to a press release, the new collaboration aims to combine streetwear and formalwear with its sophisticated spin on the Shadow.

Coming in dress shoe-appropriate black and brown colorways, each Engineered Garments x Saucony Shadow Original Wingtip is constructed with premium full-grain leather uppers with pigskin leather liners. The brown style features raw leather edges for a contrasting look, while the black pair is fully tonal. 

Many of the elements from the Saucony staple, which was first introduced in 1985 as a performance training shoe, are carried over to this dress shoe update, but the upper has been refined for a cleaner canvas. Each overlay panel features brogue styling with a wingtip toe. Co-branding is found on the insoles as well as the accompanying dust bag, but there’s no outward-facing Engineered Garments branding to be found.

Although both Engineered Garments and Saucony frequently release collaborations with various partners, this marks the first time the two brands have worked together on a sneaker. 

Given the premium execution, the Engineered Garments collaboration on the shadow comes at a higher retail price than standard versions of the sneaker, which are typically $100. The Engineered Garments x Saucony Shadow Original Wingtip retails for $180 and is available now from saucony.com.
