Upgrade Any Bridlen Shoe – The Shoe Snob

I recently discovered that you can upgrade any Bridlen shoe to their Founder’s Line finishing, which is their top-tier offering from all of their collections. All shoes made from the Founder’s Line collection are essentially an MTO order since they are produced within 4-6 weeks. Therefore, even the models not within the standard range of the Founder’s Line offering can be upgraded to the finishing and quality materials used by the top-tier models.

It can be confusing as Bridlen has several styles of shoemaking, and some can look quite similar to each other, but the subtle details will be what separates them. For example, this penny loafer model is part of their Goodyear collection, which is one step down from the Founder’s Line. The client wanted to upgrade the finishing, so they opted for a Founder’s Line finishing.

The upgrade on this Bridlen penny loafer offered a modified sole feature with a more contoured sole waist and a deeper, rounded fiddleback feature. The beveled waists were more defined and longer. And finally, the sole got a decorative black touch of color to define the distinctions.

You can see the difference between the original (below in white packshot images) and the hero shots featured.

To upgrade any Bridlen shoe, you must reach out to the team there for assistance. Naturally, this will be seen as a special order and will make the shoes non-refundable. But the Founder’s Line finishing is quite impressive for the price you are paying. Its value is compounded by the fact that it is essentially a custom order. You can simply opt for the best they offer for only $50-$100 more. It is a no-brainer!
