Air Jordan 3 RM Ultra Release Date II3794-001

After transforming the iconic Air Jordan 4 and Air Jordan 7 models in 2024 and 2025, respectively, Michael Jordan’s third signature sneaker is next in line for an RM update. 

Following early reports of an Air Jordan 3 RM in June 2025, more details are solidifying for the stripped-down sneaker. Like the Air Jordan 4 RM, the upcoming remastered Air Jordan 3 features a lower ankle cut. It replaces its usual leather-based upper with a ballistic nylon base which is complemented with suede overlays and an elephant print strip at the toe on some styles. 

TPU structures the eyestay and perforated heel tab, the latter of which forgoes its traditional elephant print accenting. Underfoot, the Air Jordan 3’s midsole and outsole are unchanged, maintaining their signature visible Air heel unit and pivot-point traction configuration. All in all, the changes made to the Air Jordan 3 are closer to what the brand did with the Air Jordan 4 RM than the Air Jordan 7, but each model in the line has featured similar modifications.

Short for Restomod or Remastered, the RM concept was introduced first with Nigel Sylvester’s “Grandma’s Driveway” collaboration and followed by dozens of in-line Air Jordan 4 RM colorways. An Air Jordan 7 RM was said to be next in line, but when the model finally materialized, it was renamed the Air Jordan MVP 92. A similar timeline could be playing out with the upcoming Air Jordan 3 RM, which is now said to be officially known as the Air Jordan Ultra.

Official nomenclature aside, the Air Jordan Ultra is set to arrive on nike.com and from select Jordan Brand retailers this summer. It’s priced at $145, considerably less than a typical Air Jordan 3 Retro, which range from $205 to $230 in adult sizing. The style code for the Air Jordan Ultra’s Phantom/Summit White/Infrared 23 colorway seen here is II3794-001, and the new model will also arrive in a Sail style.
