The 250th anniversary marking the U.S.’s independence is quickly approaching and Durango Boots, which was founded in 1966, is commemorating the celebratory occasion with the launch of the America 250 Collection.
Ahead of the Fourth of July, the Western footwear brand will release limited-edition styles built on the brand’s popular Rebel and Lady Rebel silhouettes. Featuring patriotic details and 1776-inspired design elements, the boots were designed to honor the nation’s spirit and are coined with the tag line “Built for the red, white and you.”
“The America 250 Collection is a tribute to the legacy of the American West and the patriotism that unites us,” said Erin DeLong, marketing director for Durango Boots, in a statement. “From the ranch to the rodeo to everyday life, these boots embody independence, heritage, and the hardworking spirit that defines America.”
The men’s Rebel America 250 “Briar Pitstop 11” Western boot is designed for rugged durability and comfort, with a bold patriotic twist. The boots are crafted from distressed full-grain leather for a broken-in look and feel. The 11-inch boot features flag-inspired shaft details and 1776 accents celebrating America’s milestone.
The boots also feature air mesh lining for breathability, Durango’s X-Pand System for a flexible, and easy-on fit, Durango’s Advanced Comfort System footbed with InsulKul technology for temperature moderation and cushioning, a cushion flex insole and fiberglass shank for added support. The boots have an EVA midsole with abrasion-resisting translucent rubber outsole for traction and longevity, a rolled shank area, double-row sole stitch, a 1.5-inch rocker heel, and a square toe for classic Western appeal.
The women’s Lady Rebel America 250 “Filly Brown 10” Western boot, features a more feminine design but with the same comfort features of the men’s Rebel that Durango has developed for their other boot styles. The Lady Rebel has a slightly shorter shaft, measuring 10 inches, but also includes American flag accents and commemorative 1776 details. The new 250 boots will also feature a special hangtag that commemorates the anniversary and includes a golden bottle opener key chain that is attached to each boot. The Rebel boots retail for $165.
