Fantastic Four Bape Sta Sneakers Release Date

While the theater run is coming to a close for “Fantastic Four,” a late collaboration has emerged from Bape.

The “Fantastic Four” x Bape Sta collection consists of five colorways representing seven characters in total. All members of the Fantastic Four are accounted for, as expected, as are supervillains Galactus, Silver Surfer and Doctor Doom. Each of the four sneakers is united by patent leather uppers, silver-tone metal lace dubraes with the Fantastic Four logo and Marvel embroidery on the left shoe’s lateral heel.

Mister Fantastic and Invisible Woman are paired for the blue, white and black colorway, which sees the couple printed onto the lateral heel and a graphic insole in the style of a comic. Human Torch, The Thing and Doctor Doom each get a colorway to themselves in red, black and yellow; yellow, black and blue, and green, black, yellow and silver, respectively, with the same placements. The final sneaker of the quintet is rendered in pink, blue and silver and puts Silver Surfer on the shoe’s exterior. He then appears again on the insole with Galactus, brought into the fold.

Bubble packaging also brings unique graphics for each sneaker to mimic action figures. In addition to the sneakers, Bape will also launch an assortment of T-shirts making use of its signature ABC Camo pattern.

The forthcoming collection marks the second major sneaker drop for “Fantastic Four,” which was just subject to a relaunch this summer. In July, Marvel teamed up with Advisory Board Crystals and Puma for seven sneakers representing the same seven characters. An even greater number of boxes were made, with the consumer not knowing which they’d get until opening the blind box packaging.

The “Fantastic Four” x Bape Sta collection will release on Saturday through Bape’s website and stores. Pricing has not yet been confirmed, but the model typically goes for around $300.
