Nordstrom Showcases Rothy’s Cruiser Loafers in Make Room for Shoes

Nordstrom is joining forces with Rothy’s once again for the latest edition of its “Make Room for Shoes” program.

The department store, which is celebrating its 125th anniversary this year, teamed up with the shoe brand for a month-long event that gives Nordstrom customers access to a limited-edition capsule collection of footwear.

The exclusive collection features the brand’s all-new Cruiser collection for spring, which includes two Mary-Jane styles and a loafer. The “Make Room for Shoes” activation will also feature exclusive product colorways, dedicated in-store display, events, and co-marketing to promote the growing partnership across women’s, men’s and kids.

Dayna Quanbeck, chief executive officer of Rothy’s, told FN that she is “proud” to be a part of a platform that “continues to shape how customers discover what’s next in footwear.”

“At Rothy’s, we believe the future of this category will be defined by design: how a shoe is made, how it performs over time, and the role it plays in a modern wardrobe,” Quanbeck said. “This assortment brings that philosophy to life across women’s, men’s, and kids, with refined, everyday silhouettes and new styles like the Cruiser. Each pair is designed to deliver on style, comfort, and sustainability through considered materials and construction from the start, creating shoes that feel relevant now and are built to last.”

In a separate statement, Tacey Powers, executive vice president and general merchandise manager for shoes at Nordstrom, praised Rothy’s for its blend of “mindful sustainability and innovative” and its “design-driven style.”

“As we celebrate an exciting milestone year for Nordstrom, our focus remains on offering the best footwear in the market as we continue to expand our Make Room for Shoes campaign,” Powers added.

First announced in February 2024, the “Make Room for Shoes” initiative comes to life through monthly partnerships with some of the industry’s top footwear brands. So far, the retailer has highlighted brands such as Puma, Adidas, On, Birkenstock, Sam Edelman, Larroudé, Stuart Weitzman, Dolce Vita, Reformation, Tory Burch, Sperry, Ugg and Vionic.
