Cart Confidential Vol. 46

September is when fall dressing really starts to kick into gear, and with New York and Paris Fashion Weeks on the calendar, I’m especially drawn to pieces with a strong point of view. A statement dress with a bit of bohemian romance, a bright turquoise jacquard bag, a coral flower pinned to the lapel of a jacket. The palette is anything but quiet, and I like the idea of adding pieces that bring a little more personality to everything around them.

For the girls, we’re back in the best kind of back-to-school dressing. Patterned sneakers, golden flats, printed dresses, and quilted layers all have that fresh-start sweetness that makes getting dressed in the morning feel fun.

At home, we’re nearing the end of some of the most exciting installations in our decorating process, so my eye is turning toward the smaller finishing touches. A hand-blown Murano glass frame, a beautiful carafe, celebratory cocktail napkins. The kinds of extras that bring a sense of ritual to the everyday and make you want to invite people over, set the table, and actually use them.
