Alohas Opens Second Paris Store and Its First Outpost in San Francisco

Alohas is expanding its retail footprint with two new openings.

The Spanish footwear and accessories brand recently opened a second Paris location and its first store in San Francisco. Its new store in the City of Light is located in Saint-Germain-des-Prés. It joins the brand’s other Parisian store situated in Le Marais.

Alejandro Porras, founder and chief executive officer of Alohas, said in a statement that Paris has been a “key city” for the brand since it launched in 2015.

“The response to our first store confirmed the connection between the brand and the Parisian audience,” Porras noted. “Opening a second location, this time in Saint-Germain-des-Prés, allows us to consolidate our presence in the city while reaching a new community.”

Back in the States, Alohas lands in San Francisco for the first time with a new store at 2208 Fillmore Street. Both this new store and the second Paris location now offers the Barcelona-based footwear brand’s range of sneakers, sandals, ballet flats and more.

For Porras, San Francisco is a “great representation of the type of city where Alohas wants to be: international, creative and open to new ways of consuming.”

“The United States is one of our strategic markets, and this opening is an important step in our expansion, but also an opportunity to build a closer relationship with our local community and allow them to discover Alohas in a much more complete way,” Porras added.

These openings expand the brand’s physical presence in key markets and follow its recent arrival in Vienna, where it opened its first store in Austria.

In May, the company opened its second permanent store in New York City and its first pop-up in Los Angeles. Located at 400 Bleecker Street in NYC’s West Village neighborhood and at 1410 Abbot Kinney Boulevard in Venice, Calif., the two stores marked a big moment for the brand, which had only just arrived in the U.S. with its first physical location in 2025.

“New York is the most important city in the world for us in terms of online sales, and is where we have most customers,” Porras told FN in an interview in May.

In terms of other U.S. locations, Porras noted that he has been looking at storefronts in Miami, Chicago, Austin, Dallas, Boston and San Francisco — the latter of which was not confirmed at the time of the interview earlier this year.

“We will continue to keep opening stores, but it’s a matter of having the patience to find the right opportunity and the right spot,” the CEO said in May.

All told, the company now has 13 physical stores, with other locations in London, Copenhagen, Milan, Amsterdam, Barcelona and Madrid.

Founded by Porras in 2015 while he was living in Hawaii, the idea for the company came from the Menorquinas sandals he was wearing in his daily life while on the island. Over the last 11 years, the company grew to other footwear categories and has even added some ready-to-wear and handbags.
